Family Homelessness in Puget Sound

Categories: News

In Washington state, it is reported that more than 20,000 people are living in homelessness on any given night. Of these, half are families with children.

Tune in, to KUOW (94.9 FM), Puget Sound Public Radio, around 12:30-12:45 p.m. through July 7 as one family a week tells their story about overcoming homelessness. These incredible local stories were captured and produced by Eve Claxton of StoryCorps, and include clients served by CCS/CHS programs. You can also find the stories online on a special KUOW StoryCorps page.

If these stories inspire and motivate you, please take action and share your experience with others. You can learn about advocacy opportunities with CCS/CHS, volunteer to support homeless services programs, or you can donate to continue to bring hope the 108,000+ individuals and families we serve each year. With your help, we can help more families find stability and safe housing.
