In November 2015 the Community Engagement Center was opened, providing a light lunch, computers, and service providers on site with a confidential meeting space. Service providers such as HealthPoint, Valley Cities Counseling, CCS Shelter Staff, King County Mobile Medical Van and Sound Mental Health are consistently onsite to either connect with current clients or introduce themselves to those in need of such services. We welcome new service providers.
The Center is a safe and welcoming environment for those individuals experiencing homelessness or on the verge of losing their housing.
We are in need of people (individual or group) to commit to donating a prepared meal for a minimum of 50 people, once a month or more, regularly. The contribution can be just the meal and/or helping to serve. We also need volunteers to help serve the food and/or help clean up at the end of the day. Volunteers should be at least 18 years or older. (Currently food cannot be cooked in our facility.)
We are always in need of the following items:
-Clothes to protect against the elements, jackets, rain coats/ponchos, beanies, gloves, scarves, etc.
-Undergarments: New underwear and socks.
-Clothes in general: new or used (washed please).
