In this year’s Catholic Housing Services (CHS) Appeal, Flo Beaumon, CHS Agency Director, writes with urgency about the situation facing the agency and our seniors, one of the fastest-growing segments of our nation’s homeless population.
In her letter, Flo shares Lydia’s journey, pictured above, who faced homelessness and uncertainty before CHS stepped in to provide stability and hope. A cancer survivor who found a new home at Kincaid Court, one of seven CHS properties dedicated exclusively to seniors, Lydia now enjoys spending her time cooking for fellow residents with provisions she receives from friends and local churches, grateful to have a place that is all her own.
