Here is a chance to help our elderly and disabled neighbors maintain a life of independence and dignity. Can you spare an hour or two a week to help with light housework, laundry, shopping or minor home repair? Scheduling is based on your interests and availability.
Read MoreDo you have time each week to have a phone conversation with an older adult? Phone Buddies provide older adults who might be feeling isolated and in need of social connection with support through a weekly phone call. Volunteers provide assistance with one or more tasks depending on their interests, skills, and availability. Tasks could include light housework, laundry, yard work, providing transportation to important medical appointments and to complete important tasks, shopping, moving and minor home repair. Are you short on time and unable to commit to an on-going volunteer assignment? Register to be on the on-call list for one time service requests. Note: volunteers who drive as part of their volunteer task receive mileage reimbursement.
