Services in Whatcom County

The Whatcom Family Center has been responding to the needs of the community since 1938. The Family Center relocated to the Washington Grocery Building in 1997 and expanded services and locations.

CCS/CHS definition of success is founded in its philosophy, which embraces individualized, needs-driven, strength-based services. This philosophy shapes and affirms our partnership with the individuals, families and communities that we serve. Our mission is to serve men, women and children who come to us for assistance, with compassion and understanding while supporting and promoting self-sufficiency. We believe every child should grow up in a safe, loving, nurturing environment; in joining with others to change systems that oppress, discriminate or otherwise cause human suffering; and to work towards affirming and supporting a healthy family life.
