Issaquah Meals

For 35 years, the Issaquah Meals program has served nightly meals, Monday through Friday at the Community Hall located at 180 E. Sunset Way, next to the fire station. At the request of the city of Issaquah and local churches, the program was started in May of 1989 by Catholic Community Services. Initially, meals were served two times per week and then it was increased to Monday-Friday. Volunteer groups from local faith congregations, community organizations, families, and neighborhood groups provide the weeknight meals.
The program provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere for guests and volunteers. There is also a site leader available each night to answer questions and provide resources.
Service during COVID-19
During the COVID-19 health emergency, the meals program continues to serve those with food security issues. Doors at the Issaquah Community Hall open at 5 p.m. and food service begins immediately. Doors close at 6 p.m.
Safety of our guests and volunteers is a top priority of the program thus we have made a few adjustments.
- Food service begins when the doors open.
- Guests have the option to take their meal to-go or to dine in the community hall.
- We ask that guests wash their hands or use hand sanitizer when entering the hall.
- Guests are requested to wear masks in the hall when not eating.
- Plastic ware and paper plates are used.
- Social distancing is required and only two guests per table.
We and our volunteers look forward to serving you!
