Nido Familiar/Family Nest Pregnancy and Parenting Support

Nido Familiar/Family Nest (PrePS) is a multicultural program serving diverse families in the Seattle-King County area. PrePS promotes the health and well-being of women, children and families through case management, education and supportive services. We employ a holistic service delivery model to achieve healthy pregnancy and birth outcomes and ensure a safe and nurturing home environment that facilitates healthy social and emotional development for each child.

  • Bi-weekly support group for women and parents
  • Financial assistance to help maintain stability
  • Resource referral
  • Material support (clothing, diapers, wipes, etc., as available) will be pick-up by appointment

Nido offers virtual group-based classes to encourage parent empowerment and early education for children ages 0-5. Contact us to set an intake appointment.

Parenting Classes and Support Groups will be hosted via Zoom, please call 206-584-1270 for more information.

Volunteer

We are a non-profit with the mission to help families and their children. We currently have the positions below available.

Volunteer hours are Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Donation Requests

High-need items for children:

  • Car seats: convertible car seats
  • We accept used car seats in good and clean condition that have never have been in an accident. Please check expirations dates (located in the back or underneath).
  • Toddler Clothing (size 2t-5t)
  • Diapers sizes 4-6
  • Wipes
  • Formula
  • Baby hygiene (lotion, body soap, etc.)
  • Blankets

High-need items for parents:

  • Cleaning supplies (detergent, dish soap, toilet paper)
  • Hygiene (soap, lotion, sanitary pads, deodorant, shampoo, post-partum supplies, etc.)

El programa de Nido Familiar promueve la salud y el bienestar de las mujeres, los niños y las familias a través de conexiones con recursos comunitarios, educación y servicios de apoyo material. Empleamos un modelo holístico de servicios para lograr resultados saludables en el embarazo y nacimiento de los niños. Fomentar entornos hogareños seguros y acogedores para los niños que faciliten un desarrollo social y emocional saludable para cada niño.

Nuestros servicios han cambiado a online/virtuales, que incluyen:

  • Derivación de recursos
  • Educación prenatal
  • Educación para padres
  • Grupo de apoyo semanal para mujeres y padres.
  • Asistencia financiera para ayudar a mantener estabilidad.
  • Referencia de recursos
  • Apoyo material (ropa, pañales, toallitas y otros artículos si son disponibles) será recogido solo con cita previa
