Nativity House Shelter is looking to start offering activities programing to support physical and mental health and bring some fun to the shelter.
We are looking for volunteers to help with a variety of activities that include:
- Tai Chi classes
- Chair yoga & yoga for beginners
- Zumba classes
- Aerobics classes
- Arts & crafts workshops
- Jam sessions (making music in community)
- Teaching people to play chess
- Bingo & board games
- Book clubs
- Knitting & crochet workshops
- Language learning & conversation clubs
- And more!
Requirements
- Friendly, kind and comfortable working with a diverse group of people
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years old
- Volunteers must sign a Covid-19 liability waiver to be eligible to participate
- Volunteers must pass a background check (Washington State Patrol & NSOPW- National Sex Offender Public Website) and attend a volunteer orientation.
Background checks are processed at no cost to volunteers and are updated every 2 years.

Please complete the online volunteer registration form or contact meganed@ccsww.org to request a volunteer registration form. Hard copies of registration materials can be mailed to your address. Registration forms can also be sent to you via email or fax.

Covid-19 Safety
Masking requirements have been dropped as of March 2023 but mask are still available for volunteers who wish to wear them. We will not ask your vaccination status. Anyone presenting Covid-19 symptoms or not feeling well will be required to refrain from volunteering until they are feeling better.
